“The New Mutants” Film Gets Shoved To 2020

Remember when New Mutants, Dark Phoenix and Deadpool 2 were all supposed to come out in the same year?

Then only Deadpool 2 came out.

A year or so later, Fox has been bought by Disney, and Dark Phoenix is finally set to hit theaters in June.

The same can not be said for The New Mutants. In case you forgot:

The film was intended to be the thirteenth and final installment in the X-Men film series. The film is directed by Josh Boone from a screenplay by himself and Knate Lee, and stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Maisie Williams, Charlie Heaton, Henry Zaga, Blu Hunt, and Alice Braga. In The New Mutants, a group of young mutants held in a secret facility fight to save themselves.

Rumors ran rampant of massive reshoots, cast additions and complete overhauls to the story. It was originally supposed to be a horror movie. Not so much anymore. Now we don’t even know what it is. Rumors suggested it was going to Hulu. However, now it is being reported that it will finally release in theaters April 3rd, 2020.

This now makes it the 4th or 5th film time this film has been bounced around.
