Academy Awards 2019 Full List Of Winners

The biggest awards show in Hollywood took place Sunday night at the Dolby Theater. The show opened with Maya Rudolph, Tina Fey, and Amy Poehler, presenting the Best Supporting Actress. But they also took the time to take some shots at the Academy for trying to retool the ceremony in weird decisions that angered people online. Most popular movie award. Oscars given Out during commercial breaks. No host this year. These were all the controversial ideas that were being thrown around leading up to the awards show.

But the Oscars still found a way to make things awkward during the show. Winners mics were literally cut off when they spoke too long. Best Makeup and Hairstyling winners Greg Cannom, Kate Biscoe, and Patricia Dehaney were forced offstage midway through their speech. Classy, Academy.

The show was highlighted by amazing music performances by Queen with Adam Lambert and Lady Gaga with Bradley Cooper performing their Oscar winning song, “Shallow.”

Marvel had a strong presence at the award show as well. Comic book icon, Stan Lee, was recognized during the “In Memorium, ” Black Panther won three Oscars, and Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse won Best Animated Feature.

Director Spike Lee won his first Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for ”Blackkklansman.” But the director ruined any goodwill he had built up with the Academy when he childishly stormed out of the Dolby Theater when Green Book beat out Blackkklansman for Best Picture.
