Fighting with My Family is a 2019 biographical sports comedy film based on the 2012 documentary The Wrestlers: Fighting with My Family, depicting the WWE career of professional wrestler Paige. It stars Florence Pugh as Paige, along with Jack Lowden, Nick Frost, Lena Headey, and Vince Vaughn, and is written and directed by Stephen Merchant. Dwayne Johnson executively produces and also appears in the film.
The film follows the journey of professional wrestler Saraya “Paige” Bevis, from growing up in a household of professional wrestlers to winning the WWE Divas Championship in 2014. The film also features the conflict between Saraya and her brother, Zak, as the two both compete in try-outs for WWE; however, only Saraya is signed.
The real-life Paige sadly was forced into early retirement due to a severe neck injury. She still remains as one of the original female wrestlers who helped shaped WWE’s Women’s Division to what it is today. Fighting With My Family is now playing at a theater near you.
