Jurnee Smollett Bell Spotted On Set Of “Birds Of Prey”

We got some new images straight from the set of the upcoming DC Film, “Birds of Prey.” These photos showcase Jurnee Smollett Bell‘s Black Canary. Check it out below:

Created by the writer-artist team of Robert Kanigher and Carmine Infantino, the character debuted in Flash Comics #86 (August 1947). One of DC’s earliest super-heroines, Black Canary has appeared in many of the company’s flagship team-up titles including Justice Society of America and Justice League of America. 

Birds of Prey is a spin-off of Suicide Squad. Directed by Cathy Yan from a screenplay by Christina Hodson, it stars Margot Robbie, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Rosie Perez, Ella Jay Basco, Chris Messina, and Ewan McGregor. Set after the events of Suicide Squad, the film follows Harley Quinn as she joins forces with Black Canary, the Huntress, and Renee Montoya to save Cassandra Cainfrom Gotham City crime lord Black Mask.

Birds of Prey is scheduled to be released by Warner Bros. Pictures in the United States in RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema and IMAX 3D on February 7, 2020.
