Marvel Studios is strongly considering making their upcoming “Black Widow” film rated R. Now considering and actually doing however are two very different things. Remember when Venom was supposed to be a hard R horror film and ended up being a PG-13 comedy?
Of all the Marvel characters deserving of a rated R title it’s Black Widow. She was a trained Russian assassin killing machine. Director Cate Shortland and screen writer Jac Schaefer have been tasked with creating the film.
According to the Hollywood gossip site Crazy Days & Nights, Marvel Studios is moving forward with plans to make Black Widow their first R-rated movies, though the blog’s explanation for the decision is more depressing than it seems at face value.
Black Widow does not yet have a release date, but is rumored to hit theaters in 2020.
