Godzilla King of the Monsters Film Merch Is Here & It Contains Spoilers

Godzilla King of the Monsters is coming out this summer. Now we have our first look at some merchandise from the film. Check out these toys featuring Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah. Most impressive is the Godzilla mask that makes the giant lizard’s iconic roar.

One figure that has people talking is one that has Godzilla and the redesigned Mothra in a two-pack. The spoiler is it shows a burning Godzilla.

Godzilla most famously debuted the burning look in the 1995 TOHO film Godzilla vs. Destoroyah. In that film, Godzilla started burning from the inside out and he eventually had a a nuclear meltdown which saw the giant lizard die.

Godzilla King of the Monsters directed and co-written by Michael Dougherty. It is a sequel to Godzilla (2014) and will be the 35th film in the Godzilla franchise, the third film in Legendary‘s MonsterVerse, and the third Godzilla film to be completely produced by a Hollywood studio. The film stars Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown, Bradley Whitford, Sally Hawkins, Charles Dance, Thomas Middleditch, Aisha Hinds, O’Shea Jackson Jr., David Strathairn, with Ken Watanabe, and Zhang Ziyi. 

The new story follows the heroic efforts of the crypto-zoologicalagency Monarch as its members face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species—thought to be mere myths—rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters is scheduled to be released on May 31, 2019, in 2D, 3D, Dolby Cinema and IMAX by Warner Bros. Pictures.
