Actress Margot Robbie, who portrayed the crazed Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, is set to return to the role in Birds of Prey. Robbie took to social media to reveal the script with a kiss mark and an extended title.
Birds of Prey (and the fantabulous emancipation of one Harley Quinn.) Now it’s highly doubtful that’s the real legit title of the film. But it’s still nice to see Robbie getting back into the mindset of Quinn.
With The Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) herself saying filming begins in January, it looks like things will be speeding up now. Joinging Winstead and Robbie will Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary. Rosie Perez will be playing Renee Montoya, and Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain as well. And Ewan McGregor joined the cast as Gotham City villain Black Mask.
Birds of Prey hits theaters on Feb. 7, 2020.
UPDATE: The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the actual title of the film is indeed, “Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn).” We’ll just tell you now, we’ll be sticking with calling the film Birds of Prey, but man that is a title.
