Amazon Prime is giving back to the fans this December. They will be selling tickets to see DC Film/Warner Bros film Aquaman 5 days early.
The Amazon Prime advance screenings of Aquaman will be held at 7pm on December 15, at participating theaters nationwide. Theater chains said to be taking part include Regal Cinemas, Cinepolis, Bow Tie Cinemas, ArcLight, Showcase Cinemas, and Studio Movie Grill. Notably, AMC Theatres (the U.S.’ largest theater chain) isn’t listed in the above report, so those looking to try and use their AMC Stubs A-List benefits to see Aquaman early look to be out of luck. Cinemark Theaters, the third-largest chain, is another notable omission. Tickets are expected to become available for Prime members to purchase soon.
Aquaman is intended to be the sixth installment in the DC Films shared universe. The film is directed by James Wan, with a screenplay by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and Will Beall, from a story by Geoff Johns, Wan, and Beall. It stars Jason Momoa as the title character, with Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Ludi Lin, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Nicole Kidman in supporting roles. It is the third live-action theatrical film featuring the title character, following Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and Justice League (2017) and will be the first full-length feature film centered around the character. In Aquaman, Arthur Curry, the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, must step forward to lead his people against his brother, Orm, who seeks to unite the seven kingdoms against the surface world.
