Resident Evil is the popular game franchise that went on to become the some-what liked film franchise. Spawning numerous sequels, the Milla Jovovich starring series of films stands as a good action/sci-fi series but fell way short of being a proper adaptation of the Capcom video game series. Flash forward a few years after the end of the Milla Jovovich films and horror maestro, James Wan, is interested in producing a reboot of the franchise. This got us thinking, who would we cast in the live-action Resident Evil reboot? This is HipsterZOMBIEJoint’s long overdue Role Call #45, Regenerating the Resident Evil Film Franchise.
Charlie Cox as Chris Redfield
The Daredevil would be great as the tough as nails S.T.A.R.S member. Cox has a knack for portraying haunted and tortured protagonists. Also instead of being brutally beaten up by New York thugs in Daredevil he can now be brutally beaten up by Umbrella Corporation mutates.
Kate Seigel as Jill Valentine
Kate Seigel has the right spunk and attitude to play the smart and crafty Jill Valentine. Seigel is also no stranger to the horror genre having starred in Hush and The Haunting of Hill House.
Michael Cudlitz as Barry Burton
To portray the gruff and grizzled Barry Burton why not cast Michael Cudlitz. Cudlitz has experience portraying the tough as nails soldiers having played Abraham Ford on The Walking Dead.
David Tennant as Albert Wesker
To be the film’s central antagonist, you need someone sneaky and conniving to portray the villainous Albert Wesker. Why not Jessica Jones’s David Tennant. Tennant is pure magic when it comes to playing the bad guy in anything!
Well, that’s our picks for Resident Evil reboot. But who would you pick? Agree or disagree with our picks? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for future Role Calls only at HipsterZOMBIEJoint.com!
