Netflix has canceled Iron Fist. A shocking development considering that it was one of the original Marvel shows sold to Netflix.
It’s a unceremonious end for the series. Like Marvel’s Inhumans, the first season was spearheaded by showrunner Scott Buck. After the disastrous first season, Buck was fired and replaced by Raven Metzner.
However, it was too little too late. Season 2 failed to find an audience despite an improved season. The show starred Game of Thrones veteran Finn Jones as Danny Rand, who returns to New York after years of mastering a superhuman form of martial arts training in the mysterious city of K’un-Lun.
Despite his show being canceled, expect stars Jones and Jessica Henwick to reprise their roles in other Netflix Marvel shows via cameos. The two-characters frequently crossover with Luke Cage.
