Behind The Scenes of DC Universe’s Doom Patrol

New behind the scenes images from DC Universe’s Doom Patrol series have found their way online! We now have our first look at Robot Man, Negative Man, Crazy Jane, and Elasti-Woman.

Doom Patrol boasts some of DC Comics’ most uncanny superheroes, including Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero), a woman with dozens of different personalities that each have different abilities, and two cyborgs: Robotman (Brendan Fraser) and Cyborg (Jovian Wade). Rounding out the team is Elasti-Woman (April Bowlby), who can grow and shrink at will, and Negative Man (Dwain Murphy), whose body is radioactive and has the ability to unleash a negatively-charged entity. Their leader is Dr. Niles Caulder (Bruno Bichir), a wheelchair-bound genius, who gathers these lost souls and turns them into a superhero team of misfits. Check out the images below:

The set photos, gathered by JustJared, show Riley Shanahan (who plays the on-set version of Robotman, while Fraser provides the voice) in a practical costume, as well as Guerrero looking serious as Jane, Bowlby in a stylish vintage dress as Elasti-Woman, and (presumably) Dwain Murphy in full costume as Negative Man. Though the first set photos for Titans received negative backlash over the characters’ horrible wigs and laughable costumes, the Doom Patrol actually look pretty awesome and comic book accurate.

Doom Patrol will premiere on DC Universe in 2019.
