Eminem took to his Twitter to announce he will be providing new music for Sony’s Venom film. Check out a snippet from the new song below:
Though we don’t have much, the up-tempo, sinister instrumental seems to mark a departure from the Revival sound, providing Eminem with plenty of room to showcase his storied flow. Amidst chants of “Venom,” Em raps “knock knock, let the devil in,” before the snippet fades. Overall, it’s an appealing start, and we’re eager to hear what the full track sounds like.
Venom is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, produced by Columbia Pictures in association with Marvel and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. It is intended to be the first film in Sony’s Marvel Universe, an adjunct to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer from a screenplay by Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, Kelly Marcel, and Will Beall, and stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock / Venom, alongside Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, Scott Haze, and Reid Scott. In Venom, journalist Brock is bound to an alien symbiote that gives him superpowers.
