Soundarya Sharma joins Wonder Woman 1984

Soundarya Sharma (Ranchi Diaries) has joined the cast of Warner Bros. and DC’s Wonder Woman 1984.

In a statement to IANS, Sharma said the following about being part of the project:

“This I can say is a ‘dream coming true’ situation. It’s exhilarating to be a part of such a larger than life character film where you get to play your dream role. I have always dreamt of playing such a character and idolised it.”

Sharma joins Gal Gadot and Chris Pine in the sequel to the highly successful first film, Wonder Woman.

The film is directed by Patty Jenkins and written by Jenkins, Geoff Johns, and David Callaham, from a story written by Johns and Jenkins. It stars Gal Gadot in the title role, with Chris Pine and Kristen Wiig in supporting roles. It is the fourth live-action theatrical film featuring the titular character, following Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Wonder Woman (2017), and Justice League (2017), and will be the second full-length feature film centered around the character.

Wonder Woman 1984 is scheduled to be released by Warner Bros. Pictures in Real D 3D and IMAX 3D on November 1, 2019.
