Composer Hans Zimmer has signed on to compose the music for director Patty Jenkins superhero sequel, Wonder Woman 1984. Zimmer was one of the architects of the modern DC Films soundtracks. His memorable scores powered the Dark Knight Trilogy and also created a new modern theme for Superman in the Man of Steel. But it’s his and violinist Tina Guo‘s Led Zepplin inspired new Wonder Woman theme first heard in Batman v. Superman Dawn of Justice that has arguably become his most iconic new theme.
Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig and Pedro Pascal. The movie follows the title character as she comes into conflict with the Soviet Union during the Cold War in the 1980s, and finds a formidable foe in the form of the Cheetah. Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, Jenkins, Stephen Jones, and Gadot are producing the project. Check out the theme below as performed by Tina Guo:
