HipZOMJoint New Music Friday Picks 8/10/18

IT’S NEW MUSIC FRIDAY BOYS AND GIRLS! THERE IS A SLEW OF NEW ALBUMS AND SINGLES DROPPING TODAY FROM SOME GREAT ARTISTS! CHECK THEM OUT MY PICKS BELOW AND THEN STREAM THEM ON APPLE MUSIC AND SPOTIFY.

Queen – Nicki Minaj

Minaj is back! Whether she’s going bar for bar with Eminem or talking about her fellow rappers as potential conquests, she is a force of nature showing no signs of slowing down. Stand out tracks include ”Majesty” ”Chun-Li” and ”Bed.”

hash pipe (single) TOTO

TOTO returns the favor to Weezer, who a few weeks ago covered TOTO’s classic ”Africa.” TOTO decided to cover the classic Weezer track, ”hash pipe.” Hopefully, both will release cover albums with each of their hits in the future.

Rivals (single) No Jumper

Killy and Smooky Margielaa are featured on the track “Rivals.” The track has the two rappers’ rhymes over a dark beat.

Play (single) Dave Grohl

A prog rock odyssey is the best way to describe “Play.” Grohl is a mad scientist when it comes to working in the music studio. This track might be his most ambitious undertaking yet.

Lonely (single) Hayleau

You might know Hayley Law from shows like Riverdale and Altered Carbon, but you will soon know her for her amazing voice. Her latest single “Lonely” is an empowering break-up song not about being sad your alone but being at peace with it.

Shame (single) Elle King

King is back with the rebellious, I don’t give a damn track, “Shame.” This is the first single off her upcoming sophomore album.

The Atlas Underground – Tom Morello

Morello seems to always be popping up in new and interesting projects these days. His latest project “The Atlas Underground” sees him collaborating with Knife Party, Steve Aoki, and K.Flay. “Battle Sirens” and “Rabbits Revenge” are great tracks from the forth coming album.

Neon – ERRA

Alabama’s modern progressive metalcore band, ERRA, is back with their latest album, “Neon.” Stand out tracks include “Breach” “Monolith” and “Signal Fire.”
