Jessica Lange is returning to American Horror Story

Actress Jessica Lange was at one time a staple of the American Horror Story series. She then bowed out after 4 seasons and two Emmys. Now Lange is set to returning reprising her role from Murder House in next season’s Apocalypse storyline. This will combine the seasons of Murder House and Coven, arguably two of the series best seasons.

Constance Langdon, Lange’s character from Murder House, who was last seen taking custody of her neighbors’ satanic offspring.

Lange will be making an appearance during the season’s sixth episode, which also happens to be Sarah Paulson’s directing debut.

Though Paulson will be directing Lange’s episode, she will also be returning to both her Coven and Murder House characters, primarily playing New Orleans witch Cordelia Foxx, but also appearing as medium Billie Dean Howard.

Many other cast regulars will be returning for this cycle including Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Adina Porter, Emma Roberts, Cheyenne Jackson, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman and Billie Lourd.

Cody Fern has also been announced as the actor playing the role of satanic child Michael Langdon, as the character has grown older since Murder House.
