When it was said a Suspiria remake was happening horror fans rejected the notion. Like The Exorcist, Dario Argento’s Suspiria is just one of those films that should be left alone.
Now with our first glimpse at the remake, our thoughts have changed. It’s a quiet teaser with no spoken words. Just a series of creepy imagery set to Radiohead’s Thom Yorke’s ominous score.
Suspiria is an upcoming horror film directed by Luca Guadagnino and written by David Kajganich. It is a reboot to the 1977 film of the same name by Dario Argento, and stars Dakota Johnson, Tilda Swinton, Mia Goth, Lutz Ebersdorf, Jessica Harper, and Chloë Grace Moretz. Harper was the lead actress of the original film, although she appears in a different role.
The story follows a young American dancer traveling to Europe to perfect her dancing in a renowned dance academy. She quickly comes to unravel the academy’s sinister history when a series of grisly murders ensue.
The film is scheduled to be released on November 2, 2018, by Amazon Studios.
