Denzel Washington Is Back For The Equalizer 2.
Multiple Academy Award winner Denzel Washington reteams with director Antoine Fuqua for the follow-up to their 2014 action spectacle, “The Equalizer,” with “The Equalizer 2.” Originally airing on CBS from fall 1985 until late-spring 1989, The Equalizer started out as television series. It starred Edward Woodward as a retired espionage/intelligence officer with a mysterious past, who uses the skills from his former career to exact vigilante justice on behalf of innocent people who are trapped in dangerous circumstances.
Washington and Fuqua brought the series back into the public consciousness with their 2014 big screen adaptation of the series. The first film followed Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) a retired CIA black ops operative who lives quietly in Boston, Massachusetts. He works at a Home Mart hardware store. McCall befriends many of his co-workers and helps a security guard trainee named Ralph pass his qualification exam. McCall promised his recently deceased wife that he would leave his old life behind. However, when those he cares about are put in danger he must use his training and skills to protect them.
The sequel sees Denzel Washington return as Robert McCall (Washington’s first sequel ever in his career) along with him the film stars Pedro Pascal, Bill Pullman, Melissa Leo, Jonathan Scarfe, and Sakina Jaffrey.
